Youth Fellowship News

Middle School - Wednesdays from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM
High School - Sundays from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM

Lima UMC has recently welcomed Aaron Foltz as Director of Youth Ministries. Aaron is from Smyrna, Delaware. He's a recent graduate of Salisbury University, majoring in conflict analysis and dispute resolution. He is now attending Palmer Seminary. Aaron enjoys sports and plays several musical instruments. He has been involved in youth ministry in the Pen-Del Conference of the United Methodist Church and has participated in several mission teams, including teams to Australia and India.

Aaron has been meeting with Middle School youth on Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 PM; and with High School youth on Sundays from 6-8:00 PM. Meetings are held in Aaron's Office/Program space.

Both groups are gradually increasing in size. They are looking forward to times spent in recreation, spiritual growth and missions. Conversations have already begun for a return to Appalachian Service Project in the summer of 2012.

If you're in Middle School or High School, come meet Aaron and enjoy the company of other youth.

If you‘re a parent of a teen, please encourage your son and/or daughter to participate. Also, your help is needed to keep faithful to the guidelines of our Safe Sanctuary policy.

Lima Casserole Cooks Needed

Our Lima Outreach Ministry very much needs your help (Jan. 22 - 29) to provide casseroles for local food kitchens and others in need of some help. Many caring distributors of food are being challenged to meet increasing local needs. Distributing centers and people who receive the delicious meals prepared by our Lima Methodist members are so thankful! You can "pick up" casserole tins after each service on Sunday, January 22 or provide your own. A few small casseroles are needed as well as the usual 9 x 13 containers. As usual, recipe suggestions are available, but feel free to be creative!

Please return your labeled casseroles on Sunday, January 29. Casseroles may be placed on the kitchen counter. Outreach volunteers will wrap, freeze (if not already frozen) and deliver them. Thank you!
