Music

Music plays an integral part in the life of Lima United Methodist Church.

Our Chancel Choir, led by Director of Music Ministries, Carol Gutknecht, sings each week at the 11 AM traditional service with organ accompaniment on our 3-manual Allen Renaissance organ by Dolly Terry.

Lima Brass, our double brass quartet, play on the 2nd & 4th Sundays at the 11 AM service.

Our Handbell and Cherub Children's Choirs sing at the 11 AM service once a month on alternating weeks.

Our 8:30 informal service offers piano accompaniment by pianists Mary King and Cheryl Kaufman and on the 2nd & 4th Sundays of the month, our Praise Band, led by guitarist Steve Bobiak and Pam Bechtold, provide both solo and congregational praise music. The Praise Band also leads our alternative service, "Shine", on Thursdays at 7 PM.

All of our worship services are enhanced with audiovisual slide projections with lyrics of hymns, songs and responsive readings.

Chancel Choir rehearses at 8 PM on Wednesdays and Handbell Choir rehearses at 7 PM Wednesdays. Cherubs rehearse on Sunday mornings at 9:45.
