Music Music plays an integral part in the life of Lima United Methodist Church. Lima is fortunate to regularly feature both a 3-manual Allen Renaissance organ and a piano. (The organ is predominately played at the 11:00 service.) Our Chancel Choir, led by Director of Music Ministries, Dolly Terry, sings each week at the 11:00 AM service (unless the Handbells are playing instead). Rehearsals are Wednesday nights at 8:00 PM and briefly before the Sunday Service at 10:30 AM. A variety of music is sung to inspire the congregation: hymns, contemporary music, praise music, chorales, gospel and much more! Anyone from high school age or older can join the choir. All voices will be joyfully welcomed! Lima Brass, our double brass quartet, play on the 2nd & 4th Sundays at the 11 AM service and rehearse most Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM. Our Handbell Choir typically plays on the third Sunday of each month and also for special occasions. They rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 PM. We are also periodically graced with a performance from the Cherub Children's Choir directed by Mary King. Both our 8:30 and 9:45 services offer piano accompaniment by talented pianists from our own congregation, and often the 9:45 service features our own Praise Band or special guitar music as well. All of our worship services are enhanced with audiovisual slide projections with lyrics of hymns, songs and responsive readings. If you are interested in joining us, please call the church office at (610) 566-7109.
